The surgery telephone number is now 0844 477 3495. This number links our 2 main sites together allowing us to transfer calls to staff wherever they are working. In addition it gives us the capacity to use any of our staff to answer an incoming call.
The number changes has helped us to identify the volume of calls we have. In an average month we can receive 9,500 calls. Our average time to answer a call once received in the practice is 16 seconds. In an effort to improve our service we are recruiting 4 new receptionists and appointing a patient services manager with identified targets to speed up the number of calls we are able to handle.

The new 0844 telephone number is charged at 5p per minute including VAT by most providers. Mobile charges to 0844 numbers can vary depending on the package so please check with your provider.
Surgery expansion
Plans put in place
We now have use of the "clinic" facilities adjoining our Chaddesden surgery and currently these are being extended to provide a new callcentre, improved reception and improved access for the disabled.
There will be a new room constructed for medical students. Completion should be around the end of March.

You can telephone at any time to speak to a nurse at NHS Direct on 0845 4647 about any health matter or visit their website. The practice also has nurses available at each of our 3 sites you can telephone and speak to them for advice.
