To make an appointment...
Telephone the surgery, we recommend wherever possible you try to see the same person so they can get to know you and understand your problems.
We aim to offer all appointments the same day other than smears or minor operations which are booked in advance. Please always cancel your appointment if you no longer need it so we can offer it to someone else.
To request a home visit...
Telephone the surgery before 11am Mon-Fri. We are always able to see people at home if they are too ill to travel by car or taxi but please don't ask for a visit just because you don't own a car. Children can almost always be brought to the surgery, but if they are very unwell please let reception know so we can get them seen without any delay.
Nights and Weekends
Cover is provided through Derbyshire Health United. If you are unwell then telephone 0844 412 2239, your details will be taken by an operator, you may then be offered either telephone advice by a doctor or a nurse, a home visit if you are too ill to move, or be invited to attend one of the out of hours surgeries such as the Medical Centre on Duffield Road. Please note your conversation will be recorded.
Remember that a decision to offer a home visit is based on the severity of the medical problem and not on the availability of transport.
